How well do you understand the cyber threats to your business?
What can you do as a business to protect yourself from cyber crime?
*|IF:FNAME|* , *|ELSE:|* Hi, *|END:IF|*
As business owners we can't ignore the threat from cyber criminals.
At a recent event I heard the statistic that over $22B was paid out in ransom payments to cyber criminals.
Do a quick Google search for the stats and you can see that criminality is on the rise and this has been a trend for many, many years.
So what can you do about it? Well, quite a lot and in this podcast I talk with Mark de Rijk from Cyber Security Expert on Tap about what you can do as a business to protect yourselves.
Yes, this is a complicated problem and a lot of the solutions you find out there are expensive but there are still a lot of things you can do without spending money to reduce your risk of losing data or money.
Remember, this is not just about ransomware. Social engineering, phishing attacks, cyber attacks can all play havoc with your business and not many of us can afford to pay what is demanded.
In addition to the podcast, we have put together a short article on security based on questions I was asked by a founder that wanted to know more about how to secure their business but wanted very high level, generic advice. You can read that article here:
I hope you find this useful and at the very least, its made you think about what you can do to improve security within your organisation.
